Brick by Boring Brick

I just can't resist loving this song. Aside from my adoration to Paramore as a band and as artists, (not to mention how gorgeous and pretty Haley is in this video  ) I get a special liking to this one particular song. I think, mainly it's because of the message of the song that really had me on the spot.

Since I was a child, I have never been that close to my siblings and most of the time, books are what accompanied me. And since fairy tales, folklores and myths are what captivates me most, it'd be no surprise if I made up my own fantasy world and fuse it with reality. From then onwards, I've been believing myself to be a hero living in an ideal world where all things would turn out after I save the day and live happily ever after. Many years have passed, that aspect of mine hasn't faded yet. Even up to this point, despite all the twisted things I've been and seen, I'm still believing that somehow I would manage to put my own happy ending.

It's hard to grasp on something that you know wouldn't get you anywhere , but it it is even harder to give up and let go of what you've hold on to for so long. And that's what I admire of this song. Sometimes we just have to face the reality and write our own tale, instead of believing onto something out of our grasp.

"If it's not real

You can't hold it in your hand
You can't feel it with your heart
And I won't believe it
But if it's true
You can see it with your eyes
Oh even in the dark
And that's where I want to be"

It may not be now, but I hope I could collect my courage to hold my shovel and bury my own castle.
